Fees

Insurance Billing

As a courtesy to you, we will bill your insurance company for services at our clinic. You will be responsible for any copays due at the time of service, and you may be billed later for remaining balances due to deductibles or coinsurance. Please consult with your individual insurance policy to verify your naturopathic coverage, so that you are aware of your responsibilities. Insurance may not cover all fees, such as vitamin injections or outside labs that are considered investigational. We will do our best to make you aware of these non-covered fees ahead of time, so that you can choose if you'd like to go forward.

Standard office visits

Visits with our providers are based on standard medical coding for evaluation and management, which involves both complexity of the case and time spent with the patient. Because of this, it is difficult to give an exact amount charged per office visit, however, in general, our first office visits are generally between $189 and $262. Return office visits are generally between $ 105 and $152. In addition to the office visit, there may be additional fees for blood draws, vaccinations, vitamin injections, in-house lab testing, outside lab fees, etc. These fees are generally between $16 and $52. Fees for services are due at the time of service. Please confirm benefits specific to your plan with your health insurance provider!

Preventive office visits

Well-child exams, annual gynecological exams, and routine physicals are coded differently from standard office visits, and are based on the age of the patient and whether you are a new or established patient. These fees range anywhere from $126 to $194. If there are additional concerns brought up at these preventive office visits, there will be an additional brief office visit fee (which may be an additional $47-$105). Fees for services are due at the time of service. Our clinic also offers sliding scale payment options for uninsured patients.

Pager Fees

As a courtesy to our patients, we have a 24 hour group pager available for emergency calls. Please note that there is $40 pager fee per call, which may be waived in certain circumstances by the physician on call.

Phone Consults

While it is always better to see you in person, if you are unable to come into the office, you are welcome to schedule a phone consult with your provider. Fees for phone visits are $40 per 15-minute increment (not pro-rated per minute). You may ask for a length of time you think you will need or we can help guide you.

Email Consults

Your provider is happy to answer questions via email, but please be aware that responding to emails does take time and expertise. Unless your provider has asked you to check in with them via email, fees for emails will be as follows: 1) Emails that require short answers, without any need for research, will be charged $20. 2) Emails that require your provider to refer to your chart in order to answer specific questions for you, will be charged $40. 3) Emails for which your provider needs to do some research, in order to answer your specific questions, will be charged $60.

Sliding Scale

We do have a sliding scale application available to you, which can be completed at anytime, whether you are a new or established patient. The application will list the supporting documents that you will need, and our front desk staff will review it to see if you qualify for a 20%, 35%, or 50% discount from services. If you are on Medicare or DSHS and you can show us your card to verify this, you automatically qualify for a 50% discount. Please note that you will need to complete this application process prior to your visit in order to receive the discount for that visit. Please note that this discount does not apply to state-supplied vaccines for children, as the administration of these are already discounted.

Dispensary

We do have a small high quality dispensary available to our patients for herbal, nutritional and homeopathic supplements. As a patient, you can purchase these items tax-free as they are a prescription from us. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover these supplements, but oftentimes you can use a pre-tax health savings account (HSA) or a flexible spending account. Be sure to ask your provider for a prescription that you can send in for reimbursement. Unfortunately, we cannot extend a sliding scale discount to our dispensary items, but we are happy to help you find more affordable items for your treatment.
