Dr. TamiDr. Tamara Cullen, ND

Email Dr. Cullen | Dr. Cullen is a different kind of physician. She takes time to know her patients. She is diligent in searching for answers and connections. She listens to what her patients need and together they find the right path.

Becoming a physician had always been her dream. After completing her pre–med degree in 1992, Dr. Cullen planned on attending conventional medical school, but she became discouraged by what conventional medicine had to offer her clients when she took time off to work in the field of mental health as a therapist and caseworker. She began to explore other medical options, which eventually led her to Bastyr University. She was attracted to the Bastyr program because of the way it combined science, tradition, compassion and consciousness. Bastyr offered Dr. Cullen a better way of practicing medicine.

While always feeling an affinity towards women’s healthcare, Dr. Cullen began to feel a strong calling toward pediatrics after having her son, Max. She began to realize that by teaching healthy habits of care to children from the earliest age, she could make the biggest difference in the world.

Dr. Cullen is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and a 1999 graduate of Bastyr University. Currently, she serves as adjunct faculty at Bastyr University in their Teaching Clinic and as an Instructor of Advanced Pediatrics.

Dr. Cullen is not currently accepting new patients, with the exception of newborns under 6 months old and family members of current patients.

Dr. Jennifer Daniels

Email Dr. Daniels | Dr. Jennifer Daniels has always been drawn to natural medicine. She grew up as an only child in a cabin surrounded by nature. Growing up in that setting, she always had a strong connection to the earth, which has helped her form the belief that medicine is for your body, your community, and our planet. Her philosophy in medicine is to actively prevent illness by optimizing the balance of exercise, diet, and lifestyle.

Dr. Daniels’ focus is family medicine with a special interest in women’s health and pediatrics. She enjoys all types of patient visits including preventative medicine, acute illnesses, and chronic disease, by supporting her patients to make life long changes in health. She listens to her patients and meets them where they are on their journey towards optimal wellness.

During her 2nd year of residency she had the opportunity to spend an entire year working for Health Point Community Centers of King County. This clinic offers health care to underserved populations. At Health Point, Dr. Daniels worked with complex medical conditions, which helped her to become the doctor she is today. At this clinic she was one of a few naturopaths working with many allopathic providers. Currently she is applying to the nurse practitioner program in order to help close the gap between allopathic and naturopathic medicine.

Dr Daniels completed a 2 year residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health and is a licensed primary care provider in Washington state. She received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from University of California, Los Angeles in Psychobiology. She is currently an active member of the American Association Naturopathic Physicians and is adjunct faculty at Bastyr University.

Dr Daniels has traveled extensively including Africa, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Costa Rica and Australia. She also spent two summers in East Timor volunteering her medical skills in an under-served community clinic. When she's not in Seattle Dr. Daniels is usually chasing the snow in the Cascades or the Kootenay Rockies of British Columbia.  Her other passions include bike commuting and gardening.

Dr. Amy Hawkins

Email Dr. Hawkins | Dr. Amy Hawkins is conscientious about bringing the best care possible to each of her patients. She works to develop a partnership in which every patient is educated, empowered and supported in achieving their own vision of optimal health.

While working on her pre-med studies, Dr. Hawkins discovered Naturopathic Medicine as a patient herself. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in biology, Dr. Hawkins studied herbal medicine under the guidance of many leaders in the field. She chose Bastyr University for her formal medical training and received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine in 2007.

Dr. Hawkins began working with Dr. Cullen as a student because of their shared interests and similar approach to family medicine. Upon graduating, she joined Dr. Cullen in private practice. Dr. Hawkins currently enjoys working with men, women, and children of all ages.

During her time in medical school, Dr. Hawkins became a mother and discovered a passion and natural gift for pediatric care. She holds a special place in her heart for the children in her care and her gentle presence puts them at ease.

Dr. Hawkins presents a balance of intellect and intuition. She integrates the best of conventional and alternative medicine so as to provide her patients with the finest diagnostic techniques and treatments available. She works to find the true cause of any illness, rather than suppressing symptoms. Her individualized treatment plans focus on natural therapies that treat the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

Dr. Hawkins is happily accepting new patients as well as offering acute care for Dr. Cullen’s existing patients. In order to provide alternative scheduling options, she is available for appointments on Saturdays and Monday evenings.
